At Ms. Kirrena’s, we believe in nurturing not only young children, but also the dreams and possibilities their futures hold.
This work is deeply personal to me — it is the heart of my life’s calling.
My Story
I am the proud mother of two incredible young people, Malachi and Caleb — and now, the proud grandmother to the next generation.
They have taught me more about parenting, patience, resilience, and creativity than any training, class, or certification ever could.
Through them, I have learned powerful lessons:
- No two children learn alike, even with the same upbringing.
- Play is a child’s earliest and most powerful form of learning.
- Allowing children space to stumble, rise, and try again builds real-world resilience.
- Teaching critical thinking and creativity early lays the foundation for leadership.
- Self-awareness and cultural pride are essential parts of a child’s armor for navigating the world.
A Life Rooted in Children, Families, and Community
My entire career has been anchored in the support and education of children.
Over the years, I have served as:
- Babysitter
- Childcare worker
- Home visitor
- Parenting coach
- Family engagement specialist
- Foster parent
- Community engagement coordinator
- School board member
- And now, founder and director of Ms. Kirrena’s
There has never been a season of my life when children — and the future they represent — were not at the center of my work.
Our Mission: Raising the Standard
Every parent I meet shares one common hope:
They want their child to succeed.
At Ms. Kirrena’s, I partner with families to make that dream a reality — not just by preparing children to “fit into” the public education system, but by empowering children so strongly that the system must rise to meet their brilliance.
My goal is ambitious:
To create a lastin shift in how education is done, by building children who know their worth, their brilliance, and their power from the very beginning.
